Huawei Ascend P6 to get Android 4.4 KitKat in January

Huawei's Ascend P6 was officially announced back in June running on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. Due to its incredibly slim profile and older generation quad-core processor, it was plagued with over-heating issues and yet still we don't know if Huawei has fixed it but now the company is releasing Android 4.4 KitKat in month of January to make some optimizations and improvements.

The Huawei Ascend P6 was just officially confirmed to get the Android 4.4 KitKat and the Chinese have taking it to Baidu to announce that the super slim smartphone will be getting the latest major Android release in January.

Huawei is the second company to announce Android 4.4 KitKat upgrade for it's device after Sony and also Huawei isn't the first to skip Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and move straight to Android 4.4 KitKat.

Android 4.4 KitKat was officially announced late October along with the latest Nexus 5 device running on Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box bringing Project Svelte UI optimizations, bigger UI icons, removes the widgets from the app drawer, new Hangouts SMS/MMS/Gtalks unified hub, new Email app, new Phone app with nearby search and more. It even lowers the hardware requirements for the Android OS.

However, Huawei Ascend P6 users will taste KitKat in just 2 more months.

Motorola announces Moto E4 and E4 Plus in India, to go on sale tonight

After a long campaign to promote Moto E4 and E4 Plus in India with #PowerPlus hashtag. Motorola has finally taken the next step and launched it's two smartphones - Moto E4 and E4 Plus in Indian market for Rs. 8,499 and Rs. 9,999 respectively. The Moto E4 will be offline only device, while the Moto E4 Plus will be exclusively available only on Flipkart starting from tonight 23:59. According to the press invite sent out to on Thursday which is scheduled for July 11, Nokia is about to launch a new flagship camera on that day.
