Samsung Galaxy S4 and Note 3 to get Android 4.4 KitKat in late January

French carrier SFR has just released details on up-coming Android 4.4 KitKat firmware update to the Samsung's Galaxy S4 and Note 3 by end of the January. Though Samsung hasn't uttered a word about the firmware update officially, the carrier SFR confirms that the Android 4.4 KitKat will be coming to Galaxy S4 and Note 3 by end of January (or) early November. Global rollout will be close to this time frame. Android 4.4 KitKat is already seeding to Non-GPE devices and GPE devices too adding Samsung to the last one in the list but not the least on the list to update their devices to latest firmware. Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, S3 Mini, Ace 3, Galaxy Core and other low-end devices to get Android 4.4 KitKat

As Google announced Android 4.4 KitKat officially it also said it now aims to give taste of 4.4 KitKat to low-end devices with it's capability to be stable on as low-end devices as less as 512 MB of RAM and low-cost devices. This announcement from Google made every low-end devices users hoping their manufactures will bring Android 4.4 KitKat firmware update to their devices. Users of Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini, Ace 3, Galaxy Core and other mid-range devices thought that their devices will not be eligible for future firmware updates. But according to a new image sent to the inbox of Sammobile , Samsung is thinking of doing just that, and is considering the update for some of its mid-range and low-end devices. Huawei Ascend P6 to get Android 4.4 KitKat in January

Huawei's Ascend P6 was officially announced back in June running on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. Due to its incredibly slim profile and older generation quad-core processor, it was plagued with over-heating issues and yet still we don't know if Huawei has fixed i t but now the company is releasing Android 4. 4 KitKat in month of January to make some optimizations and improvements. Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini and Galaxy Mega to get Android 4.4 KitKat

An internal Samsung KNOX document has revealed companies upcoming plans for Android updates for it's smartphones. The document in question shows a list of devices that are bound to get Samsung's security app pre-installed on them and the Galaxy S4 mini and Galaxy Mega are to do so once they get updated to Android 4.4 KitKat. The document doesn't specif y which Galaxy Mega is going to get Android 4.4 KitKat but we expect both 5.8 inch and 6 inch version s will be getting it simultaneously . The document also revealed that the Galaxy Note 3 also has the KNOX software preinstalled, but it's undoubtedly going to get Android 4.4 KitKat update in the future. HTC One to get Android 4.3 update next week and HTC Evo LTE to receive Android 4.3 with Sense 5 by end of the year

Jason Mackenzie, president at HTC USA announced that the HTC One (unlocked and developer editions) will be getting Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update by next week. Good news for One users on AT&T. 4.3 update passed AT&T certification today. Android 4.3 Jelly Bean for Xperia smartphones coming soon and Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR to get Android 4.2 from early August

Soon after Google officially released Android 4.3 Jelly Bean at their event in San Fransisco, Sony Mobile officially confirmed Android 4.3 Jelly Bean coming soon for Xperia smartphones (Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR, Xperia Tablet Z, Xperia SP and Xperia Z Ultra) at their Blog post. They said, "we're already stuck in and can confirm we'll make Android 4.3 available for : Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR, Xperia Tablet Z, Xperia SP and Xperia Z Ultra". Google to launch all new Design for Gmail

Remember the April fool which Google made about launching blue Gmail ?? Well, Google is actually not launching a Blue Gmail but they are going to give Gmail a all new refreshing design. In addition to the update, Google is going to add some functionalities and change a bit of Gmail layout. The new design will help users to organize their mails better which comes with new interface and tabs. Google has already rolled out the priority inbox as addition to the standard inbox last year. However, the new design and layout will distinguish between your priority mail and regular forwards.
