Nokia Lumia 625 launched with fair specifications costing €220 (Rs. 17,305) - Full Specifications, pricing and availability

Nokia yesterday teased to launch something 'BIG' and Yes !(a kind of) today it launched a new Lumia device called Lumia 625 which comes with fair specifications but a little highly priced.

The Lumia 625 has the biggest screen in it's current range and it has been designed to feel still human, tactile and comfortable built with purity and seamlessness centre of the design. Lumia 625 comes with big screen and 4G internet access to bring premium entertainment and communication experience at an affordable price.


Product manager Vinay Jayakumar told Conversations, “The transition to 4G is gathering pace. With a super-fast internet connection, there’s a real demand for big, beautiful screens that help bring all the content to life – this is where the Nokia Lumia 625 arrives with a really competitive price to match.”

Nokia Lumia 625 is just similar to Lumia 620 and it looks just stretched a little with some additional features. There has already a Windows Phone 7 powered phone by HTC Titan with 4.7 inch screen back in the year 2011.

Full Specifications

The Lumia 625 features a 4.7 inch display with sunlight Readability Enhancement, High brightness mode, color enhancement and super sensitive touch capability for the touch to work with gloves and nails too with resolution of 480x800p offering 201ppi and it's a 2.25D curved Gorilla Glass 2. 

Lumia 625 is powered by 1.2 Ghz Dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor with 512 MB of RAM and comes with 8 GB of internal storage with expandable support upto 64 GB via SD card slot. There's a 5 MP Rear camera with Auto Focus and LED flash  and HD mic capability to record FULL HD videos @30 fps and a Front facing VGA camera. It comes with 2,000 mAh battery with talk time upto 15.2 hours (3G).


It weights 159 grams measuring 133.25 x 72.25 x 9.15 mm. The Lumia 625 already comes with the AMBER update including Smart camera, FM Radio etc., and a Free Nokia Music subscription is also available


Regarding connectivity, it has MicroUSB 2.0, Bluetooth 4.0 + LTE, WLAN IEEE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, A-GPS and Glonass, 3.5 mm audio jack. There's also Nokia HERE mapping suit is on board with HERE Drive beta offering free offline GPS navigation for one country. 

Pricing and Availability

The Lumia 625 will be launched in China, Europe, Asia Pacific, India, Middle East, Africa and Latin America in Q3 2013 available in different variety of colours - Orange, Yellow, Bright Green, White and Black with exchangeable semitransparent shells to easily switch colours (similar to 620).

Lumia 625 is expected to launch in UK in september for £200 through EE, Vodafone, O2, Carphone Warehouse and Phones4U and the official pricing is confirmed to be costing €220 (Rs. 17,305) before taxes and subsidies.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 to be a barrier to success for iPhone 8 launch

As the days close in for the Apple iPhone 8 launch, there are various leaks, rumors coming in from all around the internet but then there's Samsung.

Mahindra launched E20 in Nepal for Rs. 13.72 lakhs

Mahindra Reva Electric Vehicles has launched e2o, its all electric zero emission car in Nepal. Agni Energy, the official distributor of Mahindra Vehicles in Nepal will retail the electric car from their showroom in Kathmandu. Mahindra e2o is priced at NPR 2.25 million (around INR 13.72 lakhs).

Mahindra Reva Electric Vehicles Chairman Pawan Goenka at the launch said that electric vehicles have been emerging as an alternative to petrol or diesel driven vehicles. "With the Mahindra e2o, we have taken the lead not only in creating a comprehensive ecosystem to nurture sustainable mobility solutions, but have also firmly placed a choice in the hands of our customers," he said.
