Micromax officially announces Canvas Win, it's first Windows Phone 8.1 handset - Full Specifications, Pricing and Availability [Updated]
The leading handset manufacturer in India after Sony and Samsung has taken another big step towards it's success by teaming with Microsoft and introducing it's first Windows Phone 8.1 powered handset called Canvas Win.
Canvas Win brings a lot of new experiences besides it's normal Canvas series by adding up Fitness tracker app, using Qualcomm chipset to power it's device and most of all by it's specification it looks like a affordable mid-range line-up.
Full Specifications
The Canvas Win features 5 inch HD (720p) IPS display, powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon MSM8212 Quad-core chipset clocked at 1.2 GHz, 1GB of RAM, 8GB internal storage (expandable up-to 32GB via microSD card slot).
On back, it's equipped with 8MP HD camera with Auto-focus and LED flash and the back panel is completely made of Leather which gives the device a premium feel and look. On front, it has 2MP camera for smooth video calls. Canvas Win runs on Windows Phone 8.1 and is juiced up by 2,000 mAh battery.
Regarding connectivity, it supports HSPA, Wi-Fi, Dual-SIM card slot, 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth 4.0 and Micro-USB 2.0.
Pricing and Availability [Updated]
Micromax hasn't revealed a price tag or availability information regarding this device but we may see it up for sale in just few days and Hopefully it will be affordable Windows smartphone. We expect the device to be priced between Rs. 8,000 - 14,000.
Micromax launched two different Windows Phones today - W092 and W121. W092 is to be priced at Rs. 6,500 and W121 is to be priced at Rs. 9,500.
