Android 4.4.2 KitKat now rolling out for Samsung Galaxy Note 2

Looks like Samsung has started caring for the predecessors of it's latest flagships and started rolling out the long awaited Android 4.4.2 KitKat for the Galaxy Note 2 and the first country to receive it is France.

The firmware is available for the international update via Kies and there's not info if this update is available OTA but it should be soon there. If people still didn't noticed the update in other regions then it should be soon pop-up on your device.

The build number of the update is N7100XXUFND3 and obviously the firmware should include all the new features of the KitKat.

Meanwhile, there's a bit changelog from Sammobile :

  • smoother interface
  • faster performance
  • white status bar icons
  • full-screen album art
  • camera shortcut on lock screen
  • wireless printing
  • NFC tap-to-pay support
  • option to set default apps
  • better stability and
  • more Samsung made changes..
As usual, to update your device to Android 4.4.2 KitKat keep a lookout at Settings>About Phone>Software Updates>Check for Updates (or) Install Kies on your PC/Laptop>Connect your device and the update should be there waiting for you (or) you can do it manually by downloading the firmware from Sammobile.
