HTC D616W Octa-Core smartphone sighted on AnTuTu benchmark database

A month ago we have been hearing about HTC to bring up a smartphone powered by Octa-Core processor and now AnTuTu benchmark database has come up with two different smartphones - one powered by MediaTek's Octa-core chipset and the other powered by Snapdragon 200 processor.

HTC D616W Specifications 

The HTC D616W features 5 inch 720p display, powered by MediaTek MT6592 (Octa-core) chipset clocked at 1.6 GHz with Mali 450 GPU, 1GB of RAM, 4GB internal storage (expandable via microSD card slot) and running on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.

The reason for this device to be on still on JellyBean is that MediaTek so far hasn't gone beyond that Android OS. For camera's, it has 8MP on Rear and 2MP on Front.

Earlier rumors and reports have suggested this device to be costing Rs. 20,453.

HTC D516W Specifications

The HTC D516W features qHD display with resolution of 540x960, powered by Snapdragon 200 (MSM8610) clocked at 1.2 GHz with Adreno 302 GPU, 768MB of RAM,  2GB internal storage (expandable via microSD card slot) and the device runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

The device has 5MP camera on Rear and 2MP camera on Front and as far as pricing is concerned this device is likely to be priced even lower which will be around Rs. 10,000 - 12,000.

Both the devices are from the Desire series and it's the series which is high likely to be unveiled and announced sooner than later this month (or) early next month.

Lenovo Vibe Z (K910L) is getting Android 4.4.2 KitKat firmware update

Looks like the worlds largest PC manufacturer is picking up the speed and focusing on the Smartphone markets because users of Lenovo Vibe Z (K910L) in Malaysia has reported getting Android 4.4.2 KitKat firmware update for their device.



The update is rolled out OTA (Over-the-air) sizes massive amount of 1.2 GB fixing all kind of bugs, errors and obviously improving performance and stability of the device and maybe Lenovo also have thrown-in some of it's features from Motorola's recent acquisition.

As usual, to update your Vibe Z to Android 4.4.2 KitKat firmware just navigate to Settings>About Phone>Software Updates> Check for Updates and see if you got the update waiting for your there.
