Nokia was reportedly said to be secretly working on a Android powered smartphone but now the latest report from The Verge said that indeed Nokia is working on an Android powered Handset. Internally known with several code-names. The device is said to be developed as an equivalent to the low-cost Asha series.
From the notorious Evleaks, we can now see an leaked image of the Nokia Normandy and is said to running on heavily modified Android version - much like in the case of Amazon Kindle Fire range.
The reports also suggests that the device will be able to run all kinds of popular applications and according to us this Nokia Normandy will be running on Android KitKat as it supports smartphones with as low as 512 MB RAM.
The Nokia Normandy development is described as going at “full steam ahead”. The handset is reportedly planned for a release in 2014. However, with Microsoft’s acquisition of Nokia's devices & services units all but completed, we are yet to find out what the Redmond giant’s plans for the Normandy are.
