LG is the first major manufacturer to premier Firefox OS handset and has officially launched it's first Firefox OS smartphone dubbed as LG Fireweb and Firefox OS could be considered still in its infancy but as bigger OEMs hop on the train it could gain traction faster than expected.
The LG Fireweb featured 4 inch HVGA display with resolution of 480x320p, powered by Single-core 1GHz Qualcomm processor, 4 GB internal storage (expandable via MicroSD card slot), 5 MP Rear camera with LED flash.
The device has gone on sale on Brazilian carrier Vivo's network. It only costs prepaid customers BRL449 ($207), while on contract it can be had for BRL129 ($59).
