AMD, a giant gaming processor maker announced to make chips for Android and Chrome OS smartphones. This news came out from the show Computex 2013 at Taiwan.

A top executive of AMD told PCWorld on Wednesday that the company is expanding OS options for it's future chips which are based on both x86 and ARM architectures. AMD has long enough built chips exclusively for Microsoft windows operating systems for PC. But in recent years AMD has watched their rivals Nvidia and Intel have improved their percentage share in Google Android OS for mobile devices and PCs.
Lisa Su, vice president and general manager of global business units quoted on AMD tech site said during an interview at Computex, "We are very committed to Windows 8; we think it's a great operating system, but we also see a market for Android and Chrome developing as well."
According to PC World interview with Lisa Su she said, "AMD is also expanding it's custom-chip business as Android and Chrome OS offer flexibility for third-party chip design and integration"
