Nokia Asha 501 for only $99

Nokia, in presence of it's global chief executive officer (CEO)Stephen Elop launched Asha 501 in New Delhi on Thursday (09/05/2013).

Nokia Asha 501 production will be done in India and will be rolled out to 90 countries with price tag of $99 (Rs. 5,350) plus some taxes. Asha 501 uses a new software which allows users to multitask between built-in applications for popular social media sites.

The new software has been improved from older version with a pact that lets users of India and Africa to use Facebook for free without paying any data charges.

"India is very important. It is the bellwether market that is very leading indicator of some of the trend. It is very symbolic that we are not launching this from certain other countries, from Finland, London or the US. We are launching it here in India because so much of our work is focussed on Indian consumers," Elop said.

"The new Nokia Asha 501 raises the bar for what is possible in affordable smartphone design and optimisation," executive vice-president Timo Toikkanen said.

Asha 501 3-inch scratchresistant display, 3.2 MP Rear camera, 4 GB internal memory (expandable upto 32 GB via MicroSD card slot), handset also has 2G device with WiFi capability. 3G version will launch soon.

LG G6 mini to launch as LG Q6 with 13MP rear camera, 3GB RAM

There has been various reports about LG being working on to release it's flagship device LG G6 with an mini version in the global market.



Various reporters like TechnoBuffalo and tipsters like Evan Blass has gone open with their details on the upcoming mini version of the LG G6 in coming days and revealed that it might be called LG Q6 instead of the usual LG G6 Mini name.

The LG Q6 handset is said to feature a 5.4 inch display, 3GB of RAM, 13MP rear camera. Display of the Q6 from G6 isn't so mini when compared. The G6 sports a 5.7 inch display and the Q6 is said to come with 5.4 inch display.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 to be a barrier to success for iPhone 8 launch
