Android 4.4.2 KitKat now rolling out for Samsung Galaxy Grand 2

Samsung has been very slow in terms of releasing firmware updates (or) software updates to it's old devices and sometimes it doesn't even provide an update for some devices such as Galaxy S3 but However, the Android 4.4.2 KitKat is now rolling out for Galaxy Grand 2. The update includes all up-to date features of the 4.4.2 version and fixes several bugs and errors in the device with a bit of improved performance and stability of the device. It can be downloaded OTA and it weights about 360MB in size and very soon it should also be available through Samsung Kies. The first country to receive this update is India and is expected to follow-up globally on both Single-SIM and Dual-SIM handset versions. Karbonn launches 4 smartphones under Rs. 5,000 with Android 4.4.2 KitKat

Karbonn has officially launched 4 smartphones in the budget line-up for below Rs. 5,000 and two of them runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat and the other two runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. The smartphones which has been launched today are - Smart A50S, Smart A52 Plus, Smart A12 Star and Smart A11 Star. Lenovo Vibe Z (K910L) is getting Android 4.4.2 KitKat firmware update

Looks like the worlds largest PC manufacturer is picking up the speed and focusing on the Smartphone markets because users of Lenovo Vibe Z (K910L) in Malaysia has reported getting Android 4.4.2 KitKat firmware update for their device. The update is rolled out OTA (Over-the-air) sizes massive amount of 1.2 GB fixing all kind of bugs, errors and obviously improving performance and stability of the device and maybe Lenovo also have thrown-in some of it's features from Motorola's recent acquisition. Android 4.4.2 KitKat now rolling out for Dell Venue 7 & 8

Starting from today, Dell has officially started rolling out Android 4.4.2 KitKat to it's Dell Venue 7 and 8 which was launched last year and got Android 4.3 Jelly Bean this year in January month. The update is 300MB in size and is available over-the-air. To update your tablet just as usual to update manually navigate to Settings> About Phone> Software Updates>Check for Updates or wait for the update notification to pop-up on your notification center. Android 4.4.2 KitKat now rolling out for Samsung Galaxy Note 2

Looks like Samsung has started caring for the predecessors of it's latest flagships and started rolling out the long awaited Android 4.4.2 KitKat for the Galaxy Note 2 and the first country to receive it is France. The firmware is available for the international update via Kies and there's not info if this update is available OTA but it should be soon there. If people still didn't noticed the update in other regions then it should be soon pop-up on your device. The build number of the update is N7100XXUFND3 and obviously the firmware should include all the new features of the KitKat. Android 4.4.2 KitKat now seeding to Sony Xperia Z1 globally

Are you a Sony Xperia Z1 user ? Well, Sony has just officially released Android 4.4.2 KitKat for it and seeding it to all users globally. The software update has been noted as 14.3.A.0.681 and in addition the update brings some updated apps to the device. One among the updated apps is - Camera app with improved shooting experience and better pictures. The update also includes an updated E-mail app but Sony hasn't detail on what more has been improved. Android 4.4.2 KitKat firmware update confirmed for 14 Samsung Galaxy devices

Samsung has officially confirmed Android 4.4.2 KitKat firmware update for it's 14 Galaxy devices including Galaxy S3 and Galaxy S3 Mini. The users of these devices had almost lost their hope that they will be getting KitKat update. Now, Samsung posted all the names of 14 Galaxy devices (tablets, Notes and smartphones). The firmware update for these all devices has already been started from yesterday (i.e 18th Feb) and has been rolling out out to users in US but soon it will hit to global users. Android 4.4.2 KitKat now seeding to Dual-SIM Moto G version

Motorola Mobility has officially started seeding Android 4.4.2 KitKat to Dual-SIM version of Moto G in Malaysia with soon expectation to hit India in few days and it weighs about 230MB. Just as same as the other versions, this firmware update brings Project Svelte optimizations, new Dialer app, updated Hangouts with SMS/MMS support, updated Google Now and the latest version of Google's Photo gallery with Auto Awesome feature. Android 4.4.2 KitKat officially released for Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Samsung has today officially started seeding Android 4.4.2 KitKat globally to it's Samsung Galaxy Note 3 users. First users to get Android 4.4.2 KitKat to their device where from Poland and later received by all users globally. Sammobile has just today received an test build firmware for Samsung's Galaxy S4 I9505 with build number as I9505XXUFNA1. As this a test build, it has some bugs here and there but is good and stable enough for daily users and according to Sammobile the final build might be released in February (or) March.
