Nokia HERE is coming to Android and iOS

Maybe you know it or you don't but it's true Nokia is planning to bring it's most loved service to world's largest Mobile Operating systems - Android and iOS. This report spread like fire when Nokia posted two job listings for experienced developer in Android and iOS.

Seeing this job postings, there's a possibility that Nokia will indeed bring the Nokia HERE service to both Android and iOS platforms.

The first job posting was :

"As an Android / iOS developer you will be a key member of our growing mobile engineering team, developing industry-leading mobile SDKs / applications. This is an experienced position that requires fluency in the latest Java capabilities and improvements in the Android and iOS SDK. The ideal candidate is motivated to explore and deliver the best possible solutions to our customers.

The ideal candidate will have experience shipping one or more Android / iOS apps, currently on Google Play / Apple Store. You should have a strong passion for technology as evidenced by your personal projects that demonstrate your aptitude for superior engineering and strong customer-centric product sense. You should enjoy working outside the comfort zone and love to learn new technologies. The position will be based in Berlin / Frankfurt and will report to the Tem lead Development team Mobile SDKs for Business, HERE platform for Business."



There is also a second job posting listed :

"We are now looking for a Mobile App Developer (Android) to join our team.

In this role you will be responsible for :

  • Working directly with developers, product management and UX Design to conceptualize, build, test and deliver mobile products.
  • Deliver across the entire app life cycle - concept, design, build, deploy, test, release to app stores and support.
  • Build prototypes at tech scoping stage of projects.
  • Working along the web developers to create and maintain a robust framework to support the apps.
  • Working with the front and developers to build the interface with focus on usability features.
  • Keep up-to-date on the latest industry trends in the mobile technologies.
  • Explain technologies and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders."

As you can read from the above job listings, Nokia seem to be serious about bringing the HERE maps service to the Android / iOS platforms. This is smart move to increase their usability of Apps and as the more users they are able to get invested in their services.

Motorola announces Moto E4 and E4 Plus in India, to go on sale tonight

After a long campaign to promote Moto E4 and E4 Plus in India with #PowerPlus hashtag. Motorola has finally taken the next step and launched it's two smartphones - Moto E4 and E4 Plus in Indian market for Rs. 8,499 and Rs. 9,999 respectively. The Moto E4 will be offline only device, while the Moto E4 Plus will be exclusively available only on Flipkart starting from tonight 23:59. Moto E4 technical specifications The Moto E4 features a 5 inch HD display, powered by MediaTek MT6737, 2Gigs of RAM, 16GB Internal storage which can be further expanded via microSD card slot. Nokia's Super 41 MP camera coming soon

Nokia have plans to make an special announcement on July 11. According to the press invite sent out to on Thursday which is scheduled for July 11, Nokia is about to launch a new flagship camera on that day.
