Micromax Canvas 4 Truly disappointing for it's fans - Specifications, features, Pricing and availability

As today (July 8th, 2013) was the official release and launch date for it's Canvas 4. Micromax is India's top 3rd smartphone manufacturing company and top 12th largest handset manufacturer in the world.

Micromax Canvas 4 has been priced for Rs. 17,990 ($295.59) which it's fans claim to be over-priced but as Indian rupee value against dollar has been decreased the price for Canvas 4 is high when compared to it's specifications. It's price is expected to soon drop at Rs. 15,000 - 16,000 as we expect it's sales to be low when compared to other Canvas series smartphones.

Micromax fans expected the Canvas 4 to have 5 inch FULL HD display, powered by atleast 1.5 Ghz Quad-Core Snapdragon 600 processor, 2 GB of RAM, running on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, 16 GB internal storage (expandable upto 32 GB via MicroSD card slot), 13 MP FULL HD Rear camera, 5 MP HD Front camera and 2,000 mAh battery.

Micromax Canvas 4 has a 5 inch TrueHD IPS Display with resolution of 1280x720p, 1.2 Ghz Quad-core Cortex A7 processor (MT 6589 chipset) with Power VR SGX 544mp GPU, 1 GB of RAM,  10 GB internal storage and 16GB NAND flash memory (expandable upto 32 GB via MicroSD card slot), 13 MP FULL HD Rear camera, 5 MP FULL HD Front camera and 2,000 mAh battery. Canvas 4 runs on Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean.

Canvas 4 has a body built with 8.99MM anodized super slim aluminium body. It weights 158gms available in Pristine White and Smokey Grey colours with Flip cover. Regarding Sensors, it has Light sensor, Proximity sensor and G-sensor.


Micromax Canvas 4 comes with new Blow air or Shake the phone to unlock feature, capability to shoot Panorama images from bottom to top and shoot your image of vivid detail brought you by Sony sensor, multi-tasking feature which allows to run two applications at same time such as playing video while browsing.

Canvas 4 also comes with 'look away' feature which pauses video being played as soon as you look away from the screen which is similar to Samsung Galaxy S4's feature. Canvas 4 also allows it's users to preview another video without pausing the video being watched, Now you can increase/decrease volume or brightness with just a swipe.

Canvas 4 also has a new feature which allows users to answer calls or dial contact numbers by bring it just close to ears. Now you can also Flip the canvas 4 to 'Silent' it or put your active call on loudspeaker by again with just a Flip.  It comes with new application from Micromax called 'Micromax M! Power' which allows users to block their SIM, Whipe phone memory and take auto-mated data backup.

Micromax Canvas 4 is priced for Rs. 17,990 ($295.59) and will be available in Pristine White and Smokey Grey colours with Flip cover.

LG G6 mini to launch as LG Q6 with 13MP rear camera, 3GB RAM

There has been various reports about LG being working on to release it's flagship device LG G6 with an mini version in the global market.

Various reporters like TechnoBuffalo and tipsters like Evan Blass has gone open with their details on the upcoming mini version of the LG G6 in coming days and revealed that it might be called LG Q6 instead of the usual LG G6 Mini name.

The LG Q6 handset is said to feature a 5.4 inch display, 3GB of RAM, 13MP rear camera. Display of the Q6 from G6 isn't so mini when compared. The G6 sports a 5.7 inch display and the Q6 is said to come with 5.4 inch display.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 to be a barrier to success for iPhone 8 launch
