Intel, today (Wednesday, June 26th 2013) launched it's 4th Generation processors in India at launch event in Delhi.
Intel 4th Generation processor can deliver up-to 50 % more in battery life in active workloads such as Watching Movies or Surfing the internet when compared to previous generation. The company said, This is the largest generation-over-generation gain in the company's history, equating to 9 hours of battery life in active workloads for some Ultrabooks based on new processors.
The 4th Generation processors will also be used in 2-in-1 computing devices which work as a PC and as well as a tablet.
Leighton Phillips Director, Product management & Pricing at Intel Asia-Pacific said, "Today we deliver on the vision set forth 2 years ago to reinvent personal computing with the introduction of our 4th Generation Intel Core processors. Today's announcement accelerates a new category of 2-in-1 computing devices delivering the best of a Notebook and a tablet in amazing new form factors."
Systems coming to market this year, over nine hours of active use battery life or 10 to 13 days of standby with fresh data on a single charge is expected.
The new 4th Generation Intel core processor can deliver 15% better performance than the precious generation while consuming lower amounts of Power. It also enables every day computing about two times faster and helps systems wake-up eight times faster and allowing users to share and Edit HD video about 20 times faster.
