Latest Android version distribution chart from Google shows that the largest used Android version currently is Android Jelly Bean over-taking Gingerbread by it's distribution usage in smartphones.
Following figure from Google details the distribution of all Android Version :
Android Jelly Bean is currently used by 40.5 per-cent globally in more than 190 countries when compared to Gingerbread usage 33.01 per-cent. However, in that 40.5 per-cent 34 per-cent runs on Android 4.1.x and the other 6.5 per-cent runs on Android 4.2.x Jelly Bean.
This data was collected during a 14-day period ending on August 1st, 2013.
