Nokia Lumia 1020 official full specifications, pricing and availability : Zoom Reinvented

Nokia Lumia 1020 was officially announced and launched yesterday after being rumored a lot on July 11 at 11 AM EST in New York City at Nokia's press event called 'Zoom Reinvented'.

Stephen Elop President and CEO at Nokia said, "We want to take people on a journey from capturing pictures to recording and sharing their lives. The Nokia Lumia 1020 will bring new meaning to pictures and continues to strengthen Nokia's leadership in imaging."


Lumia 1020 features 4.5 inch Puremotion HD+ ClearBlack AMOLED Display with resolution of 768x1280p, powered by 1.5 Ghz Dual-core snapdragon S4 processor, Adreno 225 GPU, 41 MP Rear camera capable of recording FULL HD videos @30 fps containing optical image stabilization feature, 1.2 MP front facing camera ability to capture 720p videos, 2GB of RAM, 32 GB internal storage (not expandable) + 7 GB in Skydrive.

Regarding connectivity, it has 3.5mm audio connecter, Bluetooth 3.0, NFC, MicroUSB, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and A2DP. It also features a couple of sensors, such as - 3D accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, Magnetometer sensor, Gyro scope and proximity sensor.

Pricing and availability

Nokia Lumia 1020 will first arrive at US and later to other countries and will be exclusive for AT&T, expected to start sales on July 26th 2013 for price of $299.99 for a two year contract.

Nokia also launched camera grip and has a tripod mount and is expected to be available this month in Black, White and yellow colours for an estimated price of $79. There's also a wireless charging cover available in Black and yellow for Lumia 1020.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 to be a barrier to success for iPhone 8 launch

As the days close in for the Apple iPhone 8 launch, there are various leaks, rumors coming in from all around the internet but then there's Samsung.

The famous leaker Evan Blass talks about Galaxy Note 8 to be launching later this year in the month of September to be a barrier to success for iPhone 8 launch in the same month. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will be only launched in the second half of September month.

There's rumors that Galaxy Note 8 will be the most expensive device ever crafted by the tech giant for a whooping amount of 999 Euros in the Eurozone.

Why so pricey? Well, the Galaxy S8 and S8+ are already priced at 799 and 899 Euros respectively. So, this kinda makes sense for the Galaxy Note 8 to be a bit pricey than the S8. The Galaxy Note 8 will have even more higher specs than the S8 duo's.

Mahindra launched E20 in Nepal for Rs. 13.72 lakhs

Mahindra Reva Electric Vehicles has launched e2o, its all electric zero emission car in Nepal. Agni Energy, the official distributor of Mahindra Vehicles in Nepal will retail the electric car from their showroom in Kathmandu. Mahindra e2o is priced at NPR 2.25 million (around INR 13.72 lakhs).

Mahindra Reva Electric Vehicles Chairman Pawan Goenka at the launch said that electric vehicles have been emerging as an alternative to petrol or diesel driven vehicles. "With the Mahindra e2o, we have taken the lead not only in creating a comprehensive ecosystem to nurture sustainable mobility solutions, but have also firmly placed a choice in the hands of our customers," he said.
