Android 4.4.2 KitKat now seeding to Sony Xperia Z1 globally

Are you a Sony Xperia Z1 user ? Well, Sony has just officially released Android 4.4.2 KitKat for it and seeding it to all users globally. The software update has been noted as 14.3.A.0.681 and in addition the update brings some updated apps to the device. One among the updated apps is - Camera app with improved shooting experience and better pictures. The update also includes an updated E-mail app but Sony hasn't detail on what more has been improved. So, it's all yours thing to find out. As every update brings fixes, this update brings fixes for various bugs in the device and improves battery life of it. As usual, the update can downloaded and installed by navigating to Settings > About Phone > Software Updates > Check for Updates. Android 4.3 Jelly Bean is now seeding to Xperia Z1 and Z Ultra

Sony has officially started seeding Android 4.3 Jelly bean to it's Xperia Z1 and Z Ultra but the Android 4.4 KitKat is said to arrive as soon as possible. The updates brings all the changes that Google brought with this version but with extra enhancements from Sony. Some of the extra enhancements include - Smart Social Camera, updates version of stock applications, some new Xperia Themes and support for downloadable UI packs. Sony Xperia Z1 launching in India on September 18 for Rs. 42,999

After launching Xperia Z1 on September 4 at Pre-IFA event in Berlin, Sony has just few hours ago officially announced that it will be launching Xperia Z1 in India on September 18th. Sony Xperia Z1 sports a 5 inch FULL HD TRILUMINOS display with resolution of 1920x1080p, powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.2 GHz with Adreno 330 GPU, 2 GB of RAM, 20.7 MP Rear camera with pulsed LED flash and auto-focus capable of recording FULL HD videos, 2 MP FULL HD Front facing camera, 16 GB internal storage (expandable up-to 64 GB via MicroSD card slot), 3,000 mAh battery and run's on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. Regarding connectivity, it supports - aGPS, ANT+, Bluetooth 4.0, DLNA, MHL, NFC, microUSB 2.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and Wi-Fi hotspot and 3.5 mm audio jack. Sony Xperia Z1 (Honami) prices hit online, $730 in US, €650 in Germany and £564 in UK

Pricing info for the new Sony Xperia Z1 is starting to appear online. Clove UK has the flagship at £564 (including VAT) and notes that the first stock is expected to arrive on September 16. For comparison, the old Xperia Z is £450 . Negri Electronics has priced the Xperia Z1 at $730 and will get it in stock a few days later, on September 20. The Erman press release has prices for the ZZ1 and the various other accessories – the flagship Android phone will cost €650, the availability is a vague "Q3". Unfortunately, we couldn’t find it in any German stores yet. The press release also lists the prices of the accessories showed off yesterday. The Cyber-shot QX100 lens-style camera is €450 (and $500 on Amazon.com), the QX10 is €200 ( $250 ). The Sony SmartWatch 2 is scheduled for Q3 at €200. Sony officially unveiled Xperia Z1 (Honami) and Cyber-shot QX lens-style cameras

Yesterday at pre-IFA event, Sony officially unveiled it's most anticipated smartphone called Xperia Z1 (better known as Honami from rumors). Sony also unveiled Cyber-shot QX100 and QX10 lens-style cameras. Xperia Z1 ( The Man of Sony's show ) Sony Xperia Z1 sports 5.0 inch FULL HD TRILUMINOS display with resolution of 1920x1080p. On back panel, it's equipped with 20.7 MP camera with pulsed LED flash and auto-focus capable of recording FULL HD videos (not 4K) but Sony has developed it's custom camera application which offers it's users manual controls and impressive augmented reality feature. The Rear camera uses all Sony tech - F/2.0 Sony G lens, Sony Exmor RS sensor and a Sony BIONZ image processor. Sony Xperia Z1 (better known as Honami) has once again leaked through EE UK brochure ahead of tomorrow's announcement in Berlin. The leaked brochure reveals the carrier's pre-order campaign which would possibly starting from tomorrow after Sony unveils Xperia Z1 (aka Honami). Supposedly, you will get a free Sony SmartWatch 2 if you place your order with EE.   This leak provides no new information and as we already kn ow it's already been officially confirmed by Sony a lot of times and will be unveiled on S eptember 4th in Berlin.
