Nokia X/X+/XL getting an new software update bringing app switcher and much more..

Today, the users of Nokia X/X+/XL started getting a new software update. It's not Software update 2.0 but yes, it actually does brings in some features from v2.0 such as the new app switcher allowing you to change among the apps you launched by swiping down from above and then select folder like option. Apps can also be closed from switcher by just tapping on the X at bottom of the screen. As this software update is being rolled, more Microsoft services has been added into the device. The new MS services which as been added are - Outlook, OneDrive and OneNote. If you still haven't installed the update on your device just navigate to Settings>About Phone>Software Updates>Check for updates and that's where your software update will be showed to you to download and install it. Nokia started rolling out software update v1.4 for Asha 230, 500, 501, 502 and 503

Nokia today has officially started rolling out an software update v1.4 for it's latest devices in Asha series - Asha 230, 500 , 501, 502 and 503. This software update brings a lot of things to the Asha smartphone which includes improved Camera, support for OneDrive cloud storage, faster Fastlane and parental control. As usual, to update your Asha to software update v1.4 go to Settings> Phone Update. Improved Camera The improved camera has new imaging enhancements and while taking selfie's you need not worry if your face is being shot or not because the Asha will guide you left, right, up or down and take great selfie's in no time. The camera update also brings Panorama feature. Cloud Storage & Mix Radio This new cloud storage support will automatically or manually able to upload your files, photos to the Microsoft's OneDrive with 7GB of free storage to use for you. Software Update for Nokia X released, improves performance, stability and more..

Nokia has officially released an minor update for it's first Android device (actually customized one) improving the performance, stability and the ability to change Icon colors and a new feature called TalkBack. The Update can be downloaded OTA (Over-the-Air) and sized 16MB. Before you update make sure you have enough battery, if you don't have enough it will prompt you to charge first before you proceed. The most important thing, this update doesn't wipes off your Media data (images, videos, screenshots etc.,) and for the rooted users - some of them noticed removal of root from their device but for some the root remained their. For us, the root and access to Google Play Store is still there. The TalkBack provides feedback to help blind and low-vision users. Such as, it describes what you touch, select and activate.
