Qualcomm introduces Snapdragon 805 chipset with Adreno 420

Stepping forward in it's Technology, Qualcomm introduced it's latest Quad-Core Snapdragon 805 chipset clocked at 2.5 GHz with a new Adreno 420 GPU which is as much as 40% more faster than the previous gen Adreno 330 GPU. The most excited thing which this new Snapdragon 805 chipset brings is that, it now supports 4K display in addition to 4K video recording support which as already available on Snapdragon 800 chipset. The latest Snapdragon 805 chipset also comes with an improved quad-core processor. The cores have a new Krait 450 architecture and have a maximum clock speed of 2.5GHz and memory bandwidth of up to 25.6GB/s. The Krait 450 is still a 32-bit processor, so we guess there is one more generation hardware to pass before Qualcomm outs 64-bit processor cores. Qualcomm has also embedded a completely new modem called Gobi 9x35. It's manufactured on a 20nm process and is smaller, more power efficient, and, of course, faster. It supports LTE Category 4, ...

Qualcomm to introduce Adreno 400 GPU with new Snapdragon Chipset in 2014

Qualcomm's Adreno 330 has been powering Snapdragon 800 chipset for enough time and has been the most successful and powerful in smartphone market. Looks like Qualcomm won't be stopping to introduce new chipsets with new Adreno GPU's. Qualcomm is said to be working on a new Adreno 400 GPU and is likely to introduce a new Snapdragon chipset too in 2014. In the past, Qualcomm has showcased its new innovations at CES and the company might well continue to do that early next year in the 2014 edition of the Consumer Electronic Show. However, this Adreno 400 GPU will be more powerful and efficient in Graphics performance and it's rumored to not support OpenCL. Currently, Adreno 330 GPU has the ability to push 3.6 Gigabytes per second and probably this new GPU can push more Gigabytes per second. These are still reports and are not officially confirmed from Qualcomm. So, just take this reports as a pinch of salt. Source Let Us know What you think about this bel...
